ED HOOVER NAMED NO. 4 ALL-TIME PRO MOD DRIVER |

A select group of drag racing dignitaries and Pro Modified experts have
agreed that Ed Hoover holds a significant place in the class' history.
On Monday morning they confirmed it by naming Hoover the No. 4 driver
of all-time in Attitude's CompetitionPlus.com magazine.
Hoover, winner of the first-ever Pro Modified event in 1990, is an
18-time national event winner in both IHRA and NHRA Pro Modified
competition. He's also pursued a championship in all 20 years of the
class, finishing in the top ten a record 14-times.

“How could you ask for any more?” said Hoover, who finished second in
the last season of IHRA Pro Modified. “I’ve done everything I set out
to do and performed well. I really want to do this ten more years.
There are people who race a lifetime and don’t experience what I have.”
Hoover teamed up with Paul Trussell in late 1996 and the two have formed one of the strongest alliances of team owner and driver for the last 14 years.
