Monday, 21 June 2010
hoover_bristol_2010.jpgBoth Ed Hoover and Paul Trussell knew the challenges of the NHRA GSA Pro Modified tour was going to provide monumental challenges. Patience can be a virtue, and six races into the ten race series, their patience was rewarded with a quarter-final finish.

Hoover, of Columbia, SC, defeated Roger Burgess before losing in the second round to eventual finalist Jay Payne.

"I am so happy for our team," said Hoover, who has driven for Trussell Motorsports since 1996. "We knew when we committed to this tour, this was going to be a long and hard fight -- and to this point, we absolutely right on the money with that. Those who know us know we are a team of fighters and we'll work our way to the front of the pack. We owe that to Paul Trussell and his family. He's the best team owner a driver could hope for."

The team's next stop will be this weekend in Norwalk, Ohio, the NHRA Summit Nationals.
