Ed Hoover debuted Paul Trussell’s new G-Force Race Cars-built 1968
Camaro and despite qualifying strong enough to land in the sixth spot
of the 16-car field during the IHRA Texas Nationals, the Pro Modified
veteran shook the tires and lost in the first round to Billy Gibson.

Let the record reflect that Pro Modified pioneer Ed Hoover is happy
headed into next weekend’s IHRA Texas Nationals in San Antonio, Texas.
What is the source of his elation? His incredible team owner Paul Trussell bought him a new car – and a good one too.
Hoover debuted a new G-Force Race Cars-prepared Chevrolet Camaro
earlier this month during testing at South Georgia Motorsports Park in
Valdosta, Ga.

HOOVER DETERMINED TO BREAK SLUMP AT ROCKINGHAM |

Ed Hoover wishes his time travel machine was working properly. If it
were, he’d transport himself back to the 1999 season when he won
back-to-back events after breaking out of a seemingly unbreakable slump.
Hoover has won twice in 2007 but appears mired in a several races long slump. That slump may be ending at a convenient time.
Hoover and team owner Paul Trussell travel to Rockingham, NC next
weekend in the midst of a three-way championship battle. If Hoover can
go rounds in Rockingham and others lose early, he could score his first
career IHRA Pro Modified championhip.
Though Hoover reached the quarter_finals in Budds Creek, certain discoveries could make for a huge turnaround in Rockingham.

HOOVER DROPS FIRST ROUND IN MILAN |

Ed Hoover encountered tire shake and lost in the first round of the IHRA Motor City Nationals at Milan Dragway in Michigan. He retains third place in the points standings with two races remaining.
